Hello from the LHR Clubhouse

On my way to HNL (Honolulu, Hawaii) today via LAX on the VS7 + DL443.

Currently enjoying breakfast in a very relaxed, calm and peaceful Clubhouse then will be heading up to my usual spot in the loft.

The Upper Class Wing was a good as always.

Been looking forward to this trip for months, though it’s the furthest I’ve flown in quite some time. Meeting up with a friend who’s flying in from NC. Will be a race to see who gets to HNL first as his AA flight departs LAX roughly the same time as me.

Absolutely no issues booking this ticket via Air France (which was cheaper than VS or DL at the time). VS OLCI was quick and painless yesterday. The VS app issued boarding passes for both flights without any issues. Boarding passes also available via both the Air France and Delta app!

Since I booked this flight in January, I think AF have now re-ticketed my booking 5 times due to various scheduling and flight number changes.

I’m still intrigued as to how many TP’s my return I fare will earn. The VS website still contradicts itself as the Delta earnings table suggest just 40 TP’s for each DL leg, yet the VS booking engine suggests 200?!

I hoping for 200 as that gives me a total of 800 TP’s

Interesting that DL offer Delta One on the LAX>HNL leg (albeit on one of their older 763’s) but coming home next week via SEA and I’m on a (newish) A321 with just domestic First Class seats. That’s also a red-eye flight!

I was viewing some YouTube vids to see what the DL 763’s are like…you think VS are bad but DL currently have 7 different versions of Delta One in their fleet!

Oh we are doing a similar trip in 3 weeks so I look forward to your trip report We've never been to Hawaii so can't wait.
We are flying back from LAX with air France business class and also wondering how many tier points we will get as I'm sure when we booked it said 200 for that leg.

Greetings from the LAX Delta One lounge.

Had a top notch VS flight today with a great FSM and hard working crew. It was a busy flight as well with 303 pax onboard.

The connection at LAX is some what confusing; well at least I found it to be. After going through immigration, customs and luggage collection, you follow the signs for flight connections then drop your bag. You are then supposed to head to T3 staying airside. I couldn’t find that route so ended up exiting arrivals bearing left and taking the 2 min walk to Delta One check-in / Sky Way which is actually on the arrivals level anyway. Straight up then to security and best left again and then into the Delta One lounge.

I also got to complete my Clear+ registration as well there.
