VA Select Voucher

Wife and I have two Premium Select Vouchers following our downgrade from Premium to Economy coming back from Antigua. We’ve also had around 27000 points so done pretty well.

Can we use the vouchers to book the outbound flights when they are released and then again when the inbound are released. I understand that whilst these aren’t linked to Reward seats there are only a limited number of “complimentary “ seats available.

Also can we use Points/ companion seat to upgrade to UC?

I'm not sure about splitting the bookings likes that. I do know that I wasn't allowed to use points to upgrade the the vouchers I had, they were O fare bucket and that seemed to be the reason.
