Just got back from Barbados on 330 neo and can’t help but say that the old upper seat on the 300 and 787 on bed mode is far superior-more comfortable and a lot more wider than a very cramped neo where you can hardly move and is so tight and uncomfortable.

Welcome to V:Flyer :)

I've said this for as long as the A350's and A339's have been in service. That old 'coffin seat' as many of the online keyboard warriors have sadly labeled it is by far the best seat when in bed mode. It's wider at the shoulders and flatter than all the other seats.

The worst seat in bed mode by far is the A350 seat as that one barely even goes fully flat. The only saving grace for that seat is if you manage to grab one of the bulkhead seats in row 1 as those have an extra cushioning bit near your feet making it wider.

Both the A350 and A339 seats are a pain to get out of when in any sort of reclined position.

Online keyboard warriors? Take that attitude to the airline rather than people like me who correctly point out that the onboard UC product by 2026 standards is beyond poor whatever airframe you fly.

It’s all just a matter of preference really isn’t it.

I really like the 787 “coffin”. It’s got a really nice relaxed setting for watching tv and the bed is one of the best I’ve flown in the sky. Lack of storage and just generally being old do let it down though. The Bar is far superior to the loft as well on the 330 900.

I understand why people don’t like it, but as a social butterfly, lack of privacy does not bother me in the slightest. On most airlines we choose a middle pair to sit together so don’t look out the window any ways.

Bit like BA yin yangs, understand why people dislike them but I think it’s great I can stare at my wife for 14 hours .

It’s all personal preference
