Hi!

Following on from my visit to the new JFK Clubhouse visit (I have some video's of the lounge that we're going to host somewhere if you're interested!) - thought I'd like to see what people's favourite Clubhouse is, or top 3?

For me, its a tough call:

1. LHR Clubhouse - Know it needs some updating, but the staff and service are excellent. Can quite easily spend hours there!
2. SFO Clubhouse - Superb food and drinks - great staff again!
3. LHR Revivals! - THe often forgotten 'Clubhouse', very nice and relaxing. The value of the use of htose showers after a flight!

Special mention goes to the shared LAX lounge, as the VS Staff there are excellent!

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

Great topic .

My top 3

(1) SFO Clubhouse- Great staff ( be there on 11th April)
(2) LHR Clubhouse- Great facilities and good service( will be there on 7th April)
(3) IAD Clubhouse- been there once last year but very good dinner service and good staff ( found in the lounge and escorted to the front desk for an op-upgrade to UC)

Special mention to the LHR Revivals
LGW clubhouse- good also -visiting it on 30th April.

Regards

Richard

Hmmm, I guess my favourite has to be the only one I've been in - SFO. Even though it was fantastic, I wish it wasn't getting my vote simply because it's the only one I've visited :D

Cheers

Only been in three so far so I would put them in this order

1. SFO
2. LHR
3. LGW

Difficult call because they all offer so much and we have found the staff excellent at all three, but SFO just has the edge.

1#SFO is the best lounge I have been in ever, fantastic staff&grub.
2#IAD again great hospitality.
3=LGW/LHR I have always been looked after at LGW by good staff the LHR clubhouse is the better space but I have found the staff to be very hit and miss(over a period of quite a few years and a lot of visits).
I look forward to checking out JFK in a couple of weeks.
The pictures look great Richard thanks.

For me,

LHR - Never had a bad experience in there. Love the room, love the people
SFO - Agree with other comments about food and service
JFK - pre-new Clubhouse. Yet to see the latest one!

From my point of view:

SFO -- the tops! Nice layout and never too busy
LHR -- the big leather armchairs are the business
NRT -- small, but perfectly formed and a taste of home after a week in Japan...

Do the chairs at JNB still have the tails on them? from the pictures on VS site I think it may have moved its been a few years since I have been.

Actually good point to mention, I've heard great things about the JNB Clubhouse. Back in the days when AmEx Pt got you in, I added two of my friends to my accoutn so they could use the Clubhouse there - they said it was awesome!

So far I've been to the following clubhouses/lounges:
LHR
Revivals
LGW
MCO
LAX
SFO
JFK
EWR
DEL
BOS
IAD
ORD

So they are the one's I am basing my choices on...

Thanks,
Richard

The BOS Clubhouse used to hold the most appeal to me, even after the Amex Plat entry perk was removed.

Because VS shared the lounge with Northwest, they allowed Priority Pass holders to go in. Once inside VS did not discriminate against PP entrants and extended their full repertoire of benefits to all - including priority boarding ;)

There used to be a proper Clubhouse at BOS, complete with some V.Touch stuff! But then a terminal shift occurred and they went to the shared lounge - been in the shared lounge a few times. They used to have a couple of the V.Touch girls attend to do massages for the VS passengers - bumped into Dame Judi Dench and Mike Tyson in the lounge on separate occassions....

Now its just a free for all for the VS food in the lounge [:(!]

Thanks,
Richard

When we were last in the Bos lounge 11/03 the food was held back until the last Northwest flight (to Amsterdam I think) was boarded we then had the lounge and food to ourselfs on previous visits the dutch boys hoovered up everything.

My choice is also SFO followed by LHR then LGW very close behind.
Does anybody know if there is a plan to re-open the Boston Clubhouse as the shared lounge there is very poor?
