Hey

I saw someone else mention this but I dont think anyone took notice as theres still some posts about the Manchester - Orlando route and how they will never get 747-400's.

I flew back from Orlando the other week to Manchsteter, the day they had to bring in Lady penelope (747-400) as there was a problem with the 747-200 on that day. As we were landing the captain said we would be seeing more of them as the 747-400 was due to start flying the Manchester to Orlando route from january 2005

Nothing to do with Manchester but I just went to book a Boston trip with VS for July and they had a note to say they would be using an Air Atlanta 747-200 to Boston during this time :-( Think I may have to plunge for an AA 777 again, 3 times in a row, its getting to be a habit :-(

Hi,

The 400's are potentially going to serve MAN - I was told the other day that a400 had gone upto Air Atlanta (who do the service for Virgin) to get its flight certificate for the company.

So moving forward, you'll get a 400 to help out :)

Thanks,
Richard

Any news on new aircraft/upgrades on the LGW-MCO route?

If the Atlanta 742s are the ones used on the MAN-MCO route then there is nothing wrong with them. They have Odyessey and are gr8. AA is pants.

Virgin Atlantic is always my first choice even with a 747-200 but I do have much more legroom on an AA 777 and better flight times too.

The 747-200 on my flight out to Orlando was much better than the 747-200 on the wasy back. The entertainment was much better. Bigger TC screen, each seat had its own phone, the 400 just had bulk head phones (not that I would use it at $9 per minute). I was a bit dissapointed with the 400 after the 200
