Hello all

Can anyone tell me why my flight to IAD in August keeps changing? When I booked last month VS21/VS22 was a 340 (as expected). Two weeks ago VS21 became a 346 and 1 day later it reverted to a 340 again. Today VS tell me it is now once again a 346 and have again changed my seat bookings to reflect the change to suites.

As I haven’t used the suites yet obviously I was excited at the first change. Then mildly disappointed at the quick about-turn. Then again today quite excited. The trouble is I’m too old for this roller-coaster ride of seat-changing thrills…being the sort of person who checks everything a million times before departure, I can see I’ll get nervous exhaustion if they do this any more. [:I]

I know planes change for operational reasons on the day but why all the chopping and changing? Are they short of equipment or something? Is this happening on other routes or just DC? [?]

IAD seems a popular route for a plane change. I imagine there is a good chance that they are changing based on load (or anticipated load) and if they can fill the 346 they will put it on.

I flew a couple of weeks ago to IAD and they did an equipment change on the day to a 346. Still a 346 is good news, I am going to be going again to IAD in August myself so hopefully there will be a change again to the 346.

I am not sure if it is happening on other routes or not? I know that the IAD route is changing a lot (the crew on mine said that they knew it was back to a 340 the next day)

The 346 outbound has just been replaced by a 343 again [:(!]

I wouldn't mind the changes if they always re-allocated our seats so that we continue to sit together. But NO. When I check we are always seated miles apart [V].

I'm getting fed up with this. [:(]

Daisy,
Sounds like a perfectly good question for the VS reservations folks. If you do call them, please fill us in on the response.

That said, here in the midst of the summer travel season I'd be surprised if there were not other A/C changes.

Regards,
Chuck-

Well my return next week is still showing 346 which I checked a few minutes ago, but I would not be suprised if there are changes still.

Tried calling customer services but gave up - they're busy busy busy! (and there is severe congestion at terminal 3 apparently [?])

Will probably send an e-mail - I'll let you know what they say!
