NEW J AMENITY KIT:
From 1st Aug '05 all J pax will receive the new Ozwald Boateng amenity kit!
It will be a travel wallet design instead of the traditional wash bag design.
It includes a VS pen and VS Luggage tag - which is a special gift to each J pax. All other items are the same as the current kit!

NEW J MENU:
A new J menu will be onboard all flights departing the UK from 3rd Aug '05. This is to coincide with the launch of the
'Goodnight Service' and the new LHR Clubhouse.

Does this mean the new LHR Clubhouse will be opening on 3rd August?

There was mention of the 2nd August on the CH thread for the opening of that. Guess that will be a busy week for new stuff.

I'm sure lots of people here will be glad to see the back of the Bangers and Mash.

I thought i had the new J menu out of LHR in July [?]

Haven`t done the TR yet but there were NO bangers & mash on the menu (either way) :)

We had a Brunch menu on the way out including Full English Breakfast -very nice it was too.

And the steak on the way back was heaven!

promise i will do a TR when i can get 30 mins spare

I've just got back from a trip including VS900 and VS201. VS900
was in UC and the new amenity is wonderful. My wife has immediately
commandeered it and now I want another one! The UC menu was
excellent - no bangers to be seen.

VS201 in PE was also excellent.

Cabin crew were excellent on both flights. Some of the nicest
legs I've done with VS in a while.

Got my first "new, new" one today - v.impressed :D

They look nice, and could actually be used for something in the future - a decent travel wallet! [y]

The weird "pouch" that stores the toothbrush/socks etc is a bit funny though - weird material to say the least!

I would just like to say that my recent "moans" have only ever been about the food. The Cabin crew on my last flights to JFK and back were excellent and a real credit to V.A , this was stated in my letter to C.R It may appear that there have been slightly more negative comments that usual but IÕm sure that this will change.

Paul,
Perhaps you'll bring it along when we get together? Love to see what's drawing so many comments. Personally, I liked the old one (esp. the color -- very "Virgin").

No probs - I'll bring it next week! It still has a little red corner at the bottom... ;)

Got to see the new amenity kit this week. VS's supplier sent a sample to the airline I work for. Much better than the last one!! Looking forward to collecting a couple for my own use next month.

Well designed although the luggage tag would have been more long lasting if it had been a metal one not fabric based.
