Sydney - Auckland Direct?

It's quite possible I'm being a complete muppet....but

On V Blue's route map it shows a flight from Sydney to Auckland but whenever I try and check prices, it's always via Brisbane ????

What am I doing wrong?

It's a route that's in Red on their website, this intimates that it's a connecting flight via BNE. The direct routes are those with blue lines...

Try Air NZ for miles???

Never mind. Yes, looks like it'll be Air NZ. I think we'll be better with business class ticket anyway, so we can get the extra baggage allowance (30kg instead of 20kg). It's coming in at about £300 rtn at the mo [:?]

Go o/w EK and the other AZ to try two new carriers. If you want to go all out; try EK First and AZ Buz Pre. (UCS) as both are two different products on the route.
