Last summer we (6 of us) flew UC to Cuba and had a very poor experience, all sort of problems - but not the point of this query - Customer relations handled it all absolutely brilliantly.
We ended up with 10k miles for me and a promise of 10k for my wife, however nothing for the other 4 travellers I had paid for. Unfortunately they forgot to credit my wifes account, which gave me a chance to write to them again a week ago. I took the opportunity to query why the other passangers hadn't be awarded anything.
Again their response was great and they are going to credit my wife's account. They have also said they will offer either miles, flight vouchers or flight discounts to the others. What I need` help with is:
- Anyone have any idea what/how much the vouchers or discounts are likely to be?
- Will they be "named" in the sense that only those passengers can use them (2 of the party were friends who probably wont be coming again with us this year)?
- Do you think I could push to have the other 4 passangers compensation miles paid into my account as they're my kids and their friends (all adult fares) but can't have their own accounts as I'm only a silver card?
What I'd really like is to fly 6 of us in UC again to the caribean this year and wonder what sort of deal I could reasonably ask for and have a chance of getting? My wife and I have about 90k miles between us plus whatever we get from the compensation for the 4 other travellers - do you think they'd entertain us booking PE and giving us upgrades to UC?

And I'd definitely advise anyone encountering problems to let customer relations know - they handle it so well and it doesn't end up feeling at all like you're complaining - rather that they're pleased you let them know.
