Hello again,

Sort of related to my Air New Zealand post, this one. In short, if paying via miles n' cash for a Star Alliance business-class flight would the ticket be valid for miles? i.e. Would it be like a Virgin miles upgrade, where you accrue status/miles at the original booking class or is it simply seen as a "reward fare".

Cheers,

Darryl

In short, no.

Miles + Cash are still booked into a regular "reward seat" fare bucket. The fact that you pay your "host airline" a sum of money towards the ticket is irrelevant, it's still an non-earning, mileage based, reward flight I'm afraid.
