Maybe the pilot and the first officer had a bit of a tiff and the first officer blocked off the door on purpose. I know the Minister of the Interior has done similarly with me on occassion [B)]

You can imagine the sort of thing - "I distictly remember you said it was your turn to drive". "I most certainly did not, and that is why I have now had a few drinks".

SO these secure, bullet proof, cockpit doors can be removed from the outside - hope the terrorists don't know that [ii]

I was just about to post a similar thing Bazz. Bullet proof, knife proof, secure, etc. except if you have a screwdriver... [:(]

Oh way too much comic potential...

"Let me in"
"How do I know you're not a terrorist"
"You have a mole (cups hand around phone to muffle reply)"
etc

...tch, and I thought the reason screwdrivers were banned under the recent "Critical Alert" status was because someone may use one to stab somebody... ;)

Very funny - as Decker said, way to much material to go with, but don't want to go OT, so will leave it with a [V], which kinda somes it up for me.

How on earth did they find a screwdriver in the cabin of a CRJ. It's not normal issue for cabin crew and I'm sure the captain wouldn't have needed one on his person. Perhaps they made a PA if there was anyone with a screwdriver on board???

When I first heard this on the radio, I thought they meant the captain had been locked in the toilet.[:I]
