no option on the VA website anymore to check my tier points, statement etc though, but I did know how many I had yesterday.

You now have to click the links that are down the left hand side of the VS website menu (under the Flying Club heading) once you have logged in.

It seems that only trasactions upto around the 10th of Aug have been included in the miles transfer today.

Received my update today, which I think puts me on level ground with MBNA / Virgin again taking into account recent spend with VS on the card.

Happy bunny again for the time being, let's hope that things go smoothly from here on in.

Thanks,

David.

My first MBNA statement, with 6690 points on it, was dated 15/8/06. The miles were credited to my FC account today. [y]

Goodness knows what MBNA are playing at [?] Like others I've received a miles transfer today but surely our mileage awards should by now be tallying with our statements? If mitchja's correct it'll mean yet again another "half and half" month, ie. miles will relate to only part of our statements? Just logged on to MBNA & my AMEX statement currently shows transactions 7th Aug - 4th Sep - I'm due a statement any day now but it looks like today's mileage award relates to purchases to 10th? Also, why award miles before statement date? Confused [:?]

No bonus miles transfer -no miles credited for July and August (plenty earned too) and the usual "helpful" customer service from MBNA (worse than Amex IMHO if such a thing is possible).Advised to contact yet another number.Totally cheesded with it all (MR DL's account has been credited for bonus and miles earned).Don't care what other posters have said I'm still having problems with retailers accepting Amex- bring back Mastercard.Please....

Hurrah! They appeared over the weekend. Date of the transfer was Sep 7th, as opposed to Aug 1st for last months. Nothing like a bit of consistency to keep the customers happy...

I didn't get my new black card until 13 Aug as I delayed it until returning home from SoCal. I spoke to members shop when I got my July miles (Aug statement) so knew exactly where the cut off point had been. I was hoping that all the teething troublems might have been sorted out by now.

Well, my statement closed out at around the normal date for the old VCC Mastercard - and on that day 14,751 miles appeared in my flying club account. Now, this is either both the mastercard outstanding spend plus the AMEX - in which case I'm about 1,000 up on the deal OR it includes the 10,000 bonus on first use (for previous fee paying VCC holders taking out the black card) - in which case I'm 9,000 miles down. OR it could be the bonus plus some AMEX miles (but not all) - including (or perhaps not) - the outstanding mastercard miles). MNBA couldn't tell me, promised to "get the marketing dept to phone me - but wouldn't be until Wednesday, probably". Spoke to members shop to see if they were doing a manual sweep again this month but they now don't have access any more to the functionality to look at the underlying transations, so it looks like all outstanding mastercard miles ought to come via the AMEX route now.

To top it all I also got the "please desist from using your mastercard and use your new AMEX card today" - I'd only been using it in the places where the AMEX wasn't accepted and while I was waiting for them to process my new BMI mastercard..[V]

For those people who have had the bonus, does it appear as a seperate line on your online statement, or has it been included in VAA spend?

Pat

Pat

The bonus miles appear on one transaction added to your usual card spend miles.

Hi Pat

If its the new AmEx, it will appear on your FC statement as 'VAA Credit Card Spend'

If its the Mastercard, it will appear as 'Virgin Credit Card Mileage (x miles per £1 spent)'

Most of us had our bonus 10'000 miles credited on the 1st August, along with a handful of miles but not enough to make up the full level of expenditure.

Thanks,
Sarah

Thanks James and Sarah

I appreciate the difference between VCC and VAA, but was pointing out members shop can no longer see the mastercard transactions, so I don't know if we'll see any more seperate VCC postings.

If the miles and bonus are lumped together on one line, how do you know you've had your bonus[?] Did it say something on your on line/paper statement?

Confused? you will be.....

Pat the bonus is included on your statement just as 1 line with your transactions total all together. It should be fairly clear if you have recieved it by the fact that you will have 6000miles more than you have spent.

Sorry - perhaps my original post was confusing. If I had got all my miles and the bonus I should have had about 23,500 miles. As I've been credited 14,500 I can't tell whether or not I've had the bonus.

I couldn't find this thread yesterday - blast. I really don't get it, MBNA managed to credit the enhanced bonus miles with no problems, but they seem unable to credit the 2 times miles (white card only here). I called last night and got a rather snotty woman telling me they would appear on this month's statement. Reading through the comments here, I have little confidence and feel we're all being fobbed off.

What can we do about this? Is there some sort of united representation we can make? The more time goes on, the more I feel we've been sold up the Suwannee, with no paddle and no boat either [:#]
