OOOPS!

An investigation is under way into security at Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport after a woman boarded a flight with three scalpel blades in her bag.
Dianne Hall, from Scarborough, said she had forgotten about the blades when she went through security checks before boarding the flight to Jersey.

But although the blades triggered an alarm, guards failed to find them when they searched Mrs Hall's bag.

My brother flew back from Iraq with live ammo in his bag. He didn't find it until he got home.

Oh dear, so whilst we can't take our lip balm/bottle of coke onto a plane a nice lady is quite ok to take some scalpels with her (a side note, why did she have scalpels in her bag in the 1st place?), and the wonderful top security people we have working at our airports can't find them when she is searched, what confidence it fills me with[V]

In the good old days of being a draftsman and I suspect still in the artistic/craft/graphics design world, a scalpel was an essential tool, and I regularly kept one in my briefcase. It's not just Surgeons and Assassins that use them!
