Article in today's Mail on Sunday relates that some people have had their limit reduced, for no apparent reason. They quoted one guy, a millionaire with several properties, with an excellent credit rating, who had his limit reduced from £17,500 to £10,000 - and his second card reduced too, (can't remember the figures for that). Amex were contacted and refused to comment, the guy concerned has cancelled his cards and instructed his business not to accept any payments via Amex.
Now - possible sensationalism aside - just adds to my feeling that i won't be keeping the card after the enhanced points expires.
Question though - which to have instead? I thought about BA, but they use Amex too. I have a NatWest visa, which I'm using as back up for thos ever increasing times when Amex isn't accepted. I think it gives BA miles,, but not a very good rate. Suggestions, chaps and chapesses, as to a good credit card to get instead?
