Did you apply online as the link seems to have vanished and I need the fee card for the Mrs.No real special advice just make sure you spend enough to get the 20k bonus in the first 3 months.

John - there's not much to say really, other than use it to book BMI flights as you avoid the credit card fee and get the bonus miles.

JP - try here, although that only seems to be for the classic card even though it does show both card types in the picture [:?]

Edit to add - this site shows both card types at not having an annual fee. I always thought the silver coloured platinum BMI card did have a fee but that might also explain why I've never paid an annual fee for my platinum BMI M/Card [:?]

Didn't realise you now had to spend £250 in the first 90 days to get the 20K miles. You didn't have to when I got mine [:w]

Thats a fairly recent change. There is a comprehensive discussion about it over at FT. Many assume that the large numbers of people taking up the card for the 20k bonus miles (then cancelling and reapplying) has something to do with it as there has been an addendum to the T&C's stating 'one time bonus'.

We both have the Bmi credit card here. Its a great back up card for the AmEx. We can rake up a small fortune on it in places like Ikea that are still not taking AmEx.

Thanks,
Sarah

Hi John,

Yes, I have one as a fallback card for when a place doesn't take AmEx.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi all

Might be a daft question [:I] but is it possible to change/convert bmi miles in to Virgin miles [:?]

Cheers [y]

Not convert, no. Though you can use your Bmi miles to redeem flights on VS, as well as a whole host of other airlines at quite good rates.

Thanks,

Thanks for the links, the no fee card will do to get the 20k bonus, there is still no link on the BMI site at all.

My BMI card is only a blue card but is the standard card this has the £60 fee and earns at 2 miles per £,3miles for BMI purchases.Think mbna issue standard(fee card) and classic(no fee card) in both blue and platinum.

that might also explain why I've never paid an annual fee for my platinum BMI M/Card

What rate do you earn at?

It's funny but the only card I could find when I applied was the blue "classic" but what arrived in the post was a Platinum version.

Off to IKEA now!!!
