Grand Maya Kuala Lumpur

Hi I thought since I really like this Hotel I'd recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting KL.

I'll post a few pics once I buy a card reader as I didn't bring the docking station for my camera.

Michael chose this place and we both opted for the Club package @300 ringets per night its about 7RM to the £ so that equals about £43 per night.

The club package is really good as includes breakfast, evening nibbles and comp drinks inc alcohol.

The location is next to the twin towers so the views are spectacular from the top (22nd) floor

The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are huge with seperate walk in shower.

The resturant was very good too! We got a comp meal last night!

There is a small pool (not tried it yet) and a gym.

I thoroughly second Jonathan's recommendation here - was going to do a post about it meself, but I guess he's got the time until Thursday

The service is top class - can't do enough for you, prices very reasonable (even if we hadn't been comp'd the buffet last night, it was only ~7GBP!), and the food/beer is excellent

So glad I chose it ;)[8D]

I'm staying in this one too, based on Michael's post about it a while back.

Could be tempted to cancel 1 or 2 of the Grand Maya nights and stay in the new Hilton (opens 22/9) - 2x42" plasmas in the suite and a 14" LCD TV in the bathroom could be a tough one to resist - price £70 so not too bad

There's a mock up of one of the rooms in KLIA right now - it looks pretty nice, and I'd probably go for it too
