Claim Jumpers is a rib / steak chain and there are many around LA - beware the barbecue sauce. My kids loved it and persuaded me to let them bring some back in its jars in their luggage. - Bad move -

It appears that there is something in the sauce, or the stuff they use to seal the bottles that sets the x-ray / sniffer machines at LAX off big time. (the big machines ground side next to check in)

Suffice to say, two hours later, a lot of explaining (and a tasting by several security men) we all agreed it was a misunderstanding, laughed and off we went back to the UK.

:D:D

Wow, I have enough trouble keeping my humour with US security without anything like this happening. - is it just this particular brand, or bbq sauce in general??

It is the only time I have any brought any barbnecue sauce back so I don't know if others can do the same thing ! The guards were OK - after they had sorted out what had gone on - I think the tasting helped -:D
