Not sure when this happened but Expedia.co.uk no longer charge those nasty 5.00 booking fees they used to for flight bookings [8D] [y]

Just booked a flight with them and they where the cheapest out of Opodo and Travelocity for the very same flight (Expedia was actually over 20 cheaper than Opodo [:0] [y])

Give it 5 years or so and VS might realise that introducing mandatory booking 'fees' actually puts people off [ii]

Just done a few comparisons between VS and Expedia.

The initial VS fares are now only a few pence cheaper than Expedia but as preiffer pointed out, add on the VS CC fee and Expedia are now cheaper.

I wonder if the VS price promise takes the VS CC fee into account [:?]

Well this didn't last long......The £5.00 Expedia booking fee is now back again on flight bookings [:(!]

On asking them why, they tell me is because the airlines are reducing the amount of commission they pay agents.

If you book via VS, go via Quidco and you get 1% back of the fare (pre-tax) which should cover the £3 card surcharge.

Though you should really be going to VS via a link on here so v-flyer get the money [oo]

You think this is bad? AmEx travel charges £10 to all customers for flight bookings - it was around that time I stopped using them for my flights.

It makes you wonder where these fees go? To pay for the tea trolley lady's stock and her wages in Head Office?
