Superbowl's in Glendale, Arizona (just outside Phoenix), so not exactly close. That said, since there are more rental cars in Vegas than Tucson, Vegas will be the alternate-airport-of-choice for many bowl-bound travelers. Tucson's airport is, well, lousy at best compared to Vegas.

You'd better have your Vegas rooms booked, as well - there aren't many good hotels around the Superbowl site, and many of the Scottsdale hotels will already be full with winter travelers and those planning on attending the Scottsdale Arabian Show, the largest Arabian horse show in the world. I know for a fact that some people are planning on driving the road from Vegas to Glendale (more fool they - the road's been improved, but it will be gridlock from 4 AM on). If you plan on driving anywhere southward in Nevada on Bowl day, stay off the interstates. Want to sightsee outside the city on that day? Don't.

Make your rental car (if you intend to hire one, that is) reservation as far in advance as you can - it may already be too late for certain size classes with many of the regular companies.

Otherwise, if you're planning on just Strip cruising, the most action you'll see is around every screen showing the game, and the places catering to those who wagered on the game.

A lot of people will be staying in Vegas then flying down to the PHX airports to go watch the games...thats the good news...the bad news is Superbowl weekend is now the 2nd busiest weekend in terms of the number of people and the busiest in terms of the amount of $$$ spent in the entire year.

If you don't have a room grab one now.

That can be arranged [:I]

Actually the flight for whatever reason seems a lot shorter to me than LAX/SFO...probably knowing that there isn't another flight/ drive on the other side helps [:?]
