Taking the family to New York in October for 4nights and am going to treat ourselves to business class flights - All three, Aer Lingus/ Delta + Continental are around the same price - I don not want the hassle to go through the UK for such a short trip - Can anybody suggest who would be best to fly with?

I have flown both Aer Lingus Business(Dublin - JFK) and Continental business/first (Belfast - Newark) a few years back (2004-2006) and given a choice of these two, I would choose Continental. At that time, the cabin interior, seats, food and service on Continental was superior to Aer Lingus.

Plus with CO you may well find yourself on a Trans-Atlantic 757 which is not my idea of fun.
