Airline strikes planned for 17th / 18th Oct 08???

Can anyone please help the mother in law has just been on the phone in chaos saying that on LBC there was an article on stikes on 17th and 18th October about 'airline strikes' but in typical fasion she was asleep and woke up at the end and heard it - please can someone tell me she is really loosing it and should I have her committed now or is their really rumour amongst strikes?

I don't think there are many unions in the private and public sector that are currently negotiating pay rises that aren't at least hinting that they are considering industrial action.

There is nothing on the BBC business website - which is usually a good source.
