How awful! It does seem that that area near Japan suffers from severe tubulence, there has been a few airlines that have suffered from the same thing!

I will point out that the passengers didn't 'shot up and hit the celling of the plane'. Rather the celling of the plane came down to meet them. Good reporting and the laws of physics rarely match.

I note that apparently the fasten seatbelt sign was on at the time.

Interesting. BBC added the crew and passenger counts. Only five remain hospitalized.
