Just found this trip report on A.net showcasing the brand new Terminal 3 at Delhi Airport. Thought it might be of interest as VS is already using this new terminal. It looks amazing - certainly light years ahead of the old International Terminal.

It's really unfair the drilling India has been given in the UK press surrounding the games thus far. I was there a few weeks ago and the progress the city has made is astounding. The new terminal puts many in the UK to shame and the majority of US. I hope the coverage now the games have launched will be positive. Traveling around the city is now simple and clean. It really does showcase Delhi as a city moving forward.
There's no doubt the press sensationalizes, but if you visit India regularly, like me, sometimes you think it's not really that far from the truth.
What they do seem to great at is pulling order from utter chaos at the very last minute!
