I have just received an email from Wexas telling me their new online booking engine is now live.

I tried this with one flight (one that I have booked already) and the results are interesting.

These are all for the same date, travel with VS in UC, inclusive of all taxes etc always opting for the cheapest fare (rather than specific flights)

Expedia Fare: £2,063.30
Virgin Fare: £2,063.30
Wexas Fare: £1,325.50 (which includes a £25 booking fee)

May have just been a timing issue with seat availabliity whilst I was doing the search, but if you have the membership already maybe worth adding this to the list of online agents you check before booking.

Hi Paul,

Where to/from? - What dates?

This seems to be a subscription service, for an annual fee. My guess is that a lot of their offers will be of the "buy one get one free" variety, or non-miles earning.

If you can post more details, we can all have a look and compare? (I'm assuming you've signed up, as you don't seem to be able to get fares out of it without registering...?)

Yes, this is a subscription service and to be honest it is borderline as to whether it is worth it. However, last year for example I did all of my car hire through them as though where offering two full class upgrades on car hire meaning I could pay for a 4 door saloon and take and SUV. This saved me hundreds of pounds. They also offer paid lounge entry (about £15 a visit - similar to Priority Pass) with your membership. There are a few other perks including a nice glossy once a quarter, but it is only worth it if you travel a lot.

Specific I tried for the test pricing was LGW-MCO 18/1/06-28/1/06 and that was the prices returned.

I don't know how I can offer you more on this other than to say if anyone would like me to get a comparative fare for them let me know. If it works out cheaper, sign up and you have already saved this amount.

Just did another search as a request from someone here and thought I would post the results
LHR-YVR business class (dates not displayed here for privacy)
Expedia Fare £2512.10
BA.com Fare £2507.10
Wexas Fare £2367.20

All flights with BA (maybe VS should start flying to YVR or surrounding areas that Air Canada and BA seem to have a bit of a monopoly on)

Thought I would post another update. Just had this quarter's glossy through and on the back page of one of the additions is a VS offer. I have copied the main details. All prices are for PE flights in both directions plus the other bits stated.

# Bahamas from £2107 per person including 7 nights all-inclusive at Kamalame Cay, transfers and Premium Economy flights to Nassau with Virgin Atlantic. Saving up to £250 per person.
# Antigua from £2038 per person including 7 nights at Carlisle Bay, transfers and Premium Economy flights to Antigua with Virgin Atlantic, saving up to £220 per person.
# Orlando from £1092 per person including an 8 day Florida self-drive with 7 nights accommodation, 8 days car hire (group B) on Alamo Gold and Premium Economy flights to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic. Saving up to £160 per person.

Haven't checked to see if these are any good, but as they are VS related, thought I would post here for info.
