To any non-animal lovers that dislike the idea of pets being allowed to travel in the cabin you only need to look at the publically availiable reports of animal cargo deaths and injuries over the last few years (see here) to understand why many animal owners are adamant to never move their pets in this way, and I have to agree with them. When my (now) in-laws moved to Spain they shipped their two cats as cargo. Both cats appeared on the luggage belt with the suitcases rather than being sent to an animal centre (as watchers of 'Airport' would be familiar with). :0
(I know that's quite Sad but he's my baby) I am not keen on the idea of kennels although I don't think we are gonna have much choice so we've started the search for somewhere suitable already. As he's a rescue dog I just don't want him to think we are abandoning him cos he's had enough of that already and he's only a year old.
