Amex MR points transfer

Just a quick question for all the experts out there.

Can I transfer my amex MR points into my wifes Flying club or Hilton Honors account?

Hi DD, not sure about the Hilton bit but I have tried in the past to transfer into my wife's FC account but it was not permitted. It seems like it has to be a loyalty program in the name of the principal cardholder. [n]

HH is the same as amex must be the same name.

As mentioned, Ive tried transferring Amex points to another card and they declined it after checking the names.

If its of any interest though the Virgin CC are happy to transfer the points to any Frequent Flyer number youd care to give them if you have a reason, such as other half. When they did this they were unsure if the system would reject it because of a different name but tried anyway. The points have been successfully crediting to the other halfs FF account for a few months now.
