Have just phoned but they told me it was invite only. I said that a colleague had not received an invite and when he phoned the Plat line they sent him an invitation. She wasn't having any of it.

Any tricks you can suggest?

Yes you can,

You can get "add-on" for certain pre-existing. Ring them to check and get a quote, but you need to make sure they are stripping back all the surrounding cover your plat gives you.. as you only need the cover for that specific issue, nothing else as its already covered.

Interesting to know, I enquired earlier this year for one of my supp card holders but was told it wasn't possible. Sounds like another customer service agent fail for me ii)

Thank you. It is worth a phone call. After all they do travel insurance policies so you would think they could combine one and the 'free' cover somehow. I am not holding my breathth though.

UK AX cardholders can get CX marco polo for one year.
It is one of those offers that AX will fully honour if you ask but not actually tell you about !
I called them and asked and took about 2-3 weeks to get the card although as I travel virtually exclusively on VS now it has no real real benefit .. except you can use all the OneWorld lounges if on a OW carrier which is Europe is useful.

It was advertised in the new issue of the Departures magazine, so I don't think they are trying to keep it that quiet.

You just need to ring PTS and ask for it.

Shame that, if staying in a suite, it often works out cheaper to use the MOs suite temptations rate.

Does anyone have a referal offer offering 40,000 miles that they could chuck my way?

The 40,000 miles offer appear to have disappeared from general Amex sign-up.
