Kuala Lumpur - Transfering between LCCT and KLIA

During our up coming far east break in March we will be hopping from SIN to KUL with Air Asia.

I wonder if anyone can tell me what the options are for transfering between the LCC Terminal to the main airport terminal so we can pick up the KLIA Ekspress into Kuala Lumpur.

We used the Low Cost terminal a couple of times in 2010, and were reasonably impressed - it is just as advertised.

On arrival, it was a bit of a zoo with people everywhere and taxi touts trying to convince you that their cabs are the cheapest and the best.

Our plan was to do what you intend and get the KLIA Express, but when we got outside there were some big red coaches going to KL Sentral. We ended up getting on the coach, the fare was 9 ringgits (about £2) each. The coach wasn't air-conditioned, but the ride was a lot more interesting than the rather bland KLIA.

When we flew out, we were very impressed with Air Asia's efficiency - there is even a priority pass lounge in the huge aircraft hangar like departure area.

When we go back to KL we will have no hesitation using them again - it is worth paying the extra for the premium seats.

Thanks for the reply Nick. There has now been a change of plan. We will now be flying MH back from SIN so will not be flying into the LCCT & will use the KLIA Ekspress into KL. We will be in or out of KUL 5 times during out time away so I should know the place like the back of my hand by the time we get back.
