Emirates OLCI query

My trip to Oz is only a few weeks away now. y)

I am flying Emirates, first leg down to Dubai, in transit there for 4 hours, then second leg non-stop to Brisbane. Both legs are shown on the same e-ticket.

When I do OLCI say 24 hours before the first leg am I checking in for the whole journey or just for the first leg? If for the whole journey, does that also mean I can print both boarding cards at that time?

I have now found out that I can check in for all flights within 36 hours of the time of check in.

Should I try and get another SEQ1, or whatever the EK equivalent is, and do OLCI at 24 hours my second leg is 34 hours 45 minutes later. PHEW.
