The wife is liking the sound of this, could be on the books for next year,I figure it will get our UK trip out of the way.

Dont know if this is possible, but we would like to go

LAX-LHR LHR-AUK AUK-PPT PPT-LAX or something along those lines, maybe LHR-SYD just to go up to the reef spend 4 days in London,4 days in AUK/SYD,4 days in Tahiti, that would work for me,I know boring only 3 flights, but with only 2 weeks to do this in it's the best I could come up with.

A really excellent report Sarah, it does make you want to go do it!

I think the advice you have provided will be most helpful to others contemplating a RTW.

Thanks,
Barry

Sarah,
What a terrific travel story! Thank you for taking the time to compose this unique TR. It's a wonderful service to all who appreciate the benefits of VFlyer.

Thanks again and really, we can't wait for your next adventure!

Best regards,

Great review HighFlyer, and an invaluable resource for planning our own RTW, which I've just booked for Aug 2006:D

Because of work constraints, we have less than 4 weeks to do it in, so have tried to balance places we want to see with visting friends in various places. Our route is:

London > Hong Kong > Singapore > Perth > then overland via Uluru to Sydney > Christchurch > Rarotonga (Cook Islands) > Los Angeles > London

Business class, including taxes - £3,960.

Can't wait [:p]

Hiya

Great to hear that you have booked your trip, i bet thats a good feeling? :D

Your on an even tighter schedule than i was, but im sure it will be fantastic. You'll never know four weeks to go by so fast - or to be so darn expensive!! - but it will be worth every penny i bet! Absolutely loving your itinerary, have always wanted to stop at the Cooks (Will be a stonesthrow for Milliemoo in the near future [:p] - the cheeky thing)

If you have any queries, feel free to ask, or email or PM me ... and let us know how things progress with all the planning, what hotels your staying at and so on. Can't wait to hear all about it when you have done it - even if i'll be seething with envy as my trip will be a distant memory from the past by then [:(][:(]

Keep us updated
:D

LOL It's true, the only reason we're moving to NZ is for cheaper holidays to the Cooks! [8D]

Lots of TR's and hotel reviews (Hong Kong, Sydney, Christchurch, Auckland, Rarotonga, Aitutaki) in the next few weeks. :D
