Well I have tried, but it is pretty poor.

Anyway, Why did Boeing cry when they came 2nd to Airbus in the race to build the largest passenger Jet?

Because they didn't like to loose (Toulouse!!!)

Told you it was rubbish, but can anyone do any better?

Paul, would you care to elaborate a little?

Umm as far as I can tell Boeing has had the largest jet for what..25 years or so,didn't come in second..Also the 2 companies are going different routes, boeing feels that longer range smaller aircraft 787 will be the future,Airbus feels that larger aircraft are the way to go A380,though of course they are also going ahead with the A350.

Ooh Did i touch a nerve there. Wasn't meant to be intimating anything. It was supposed to be a joke[8D] And as I stated not a very good one at that:D. I have just had a complete &*^& of a day and needed to cheer myself up and hoped that someone would post a reply that actually was funny.

So in order not to turn the thread into something it was not meant to be I have a 2nd part to the joke, which is just as bad:

Boeing have commented "We will not be happy to seattle (settle!) for 2nd place!"

Meanwhile the President of the Aircraft of the 20th Century Society revealed that he was not too impressed with Boeing's new offering; "you want to tri starting a steep climb in that beast. And,as for the A380, how come it looks so ugly - it makes you want to spit.Fire modern designers I say" he added.

Was that more the reaction you were hoping for Paul?
