Hi everyone

My wife and I are embarking on a road trip on Thursday which starts is Vail, CO and finishes in Atlanta. This will take in cities such as Kansas, St. Louis, Louisville (for the Kentucky Derby) and Nashville. I have accommodation sorted for most places with either relatives or hotels, however, two of the cities I am undecided about are St. Louis and Nashville.

Can anyone give recommendations on hotels to stay in either city? We will be in St. Louis for one night and Nashville for three.

Thanks in advance.

I recently got the Hyatt Regency at the Arch in St Louis for £60 a night on Priceline.

Pretty happy with that - nice hotel.

While you're there don't miss the original Ted Drewes frozen custard store. Heaven in a cup ...

The Hilton Downtown Nashville is well located and does the business for easy walking access to the Country Music Hall of Fame (next door), the main drag of sleazy looking bars with live music (none of which we could go in due t our daughter being under 21) and easy road access out to other attractions such as the Grand Ole Opry and, further afield, Franklin (for the McGavock Confederate Cemetery if you're interested in US Civil War history) and Lynchburg (if you're interested in Jack Daniels).

I did like the look of the Union Station though....
