Never heard of this lot before, but they're doing 'club' returns to Canada for less than 1200 quid (before end of April). Are they just a low end carrier, or a real airline? Does club mean anything more than not being spat on by the staff?

I've flown in Y with Air Transat twice to Canada. They're not bad. Their 'club' offering would be akin to PE (maybe) - separated cabin, bigger more comfortable seat, better meals (and I understand it's on china) and that's about it. Usually only about 20 seats in the cabin.

As I said, my experience is in Y and they were okay, nothing special but okay.

Ok, thanks if its PE called Club, then 1.2K doesn't sound such a deal.. No liedown and crap IFE by the sounds of it too.

Theres no IFE AFAIK, they have one or 2 screen in the cabin, and in Y there are screens dotted about and you just plug earphones in - you have a choice of what is showing or radio and that's it! Certainly no lie down, it's not J.

I think the Club service also has extra luggage allowance etc as with PE, and dedicated check-in, all as you would expect.

Oh and an 'amenity kit' that includes earphones is free in Club, but paid for in Y.

I considered this carrier (briefly) for my trip to YVR last year. Didn't fancy it and after I saw their rather chaotic check-in at YVR I was very glad to be flying with VS.
