depends where you are hiring and when...............florida soon its spring break and this year the tourist season is crazy...........

one tip, if you can, don't hire at the airport,if you can get to an offsite location it can save you a lot

I just rented my son a car for 11 days $234 all in...mind you I do get some specials from my local manager !!

I think I paid £750 for 31 days full size SUV out of Orlando.

I prepaid back in Dec. Choice was a bit limited because of the Daytona 500 this week,

The trend has been to get an intermediate SUV, which usually comes in at around £400 for the time we need. And that was what I was seeing for weeks - until a few days ago, when it shot up. I'm not sure when Spring break falls this year, but our rental starts on 19th April. Wow though Fla, $234 all in, a good deal by anyone's standards! Sadly, I haven't now used usrentacar, which I really like, but have gone with carhire3000.... at least their prices were what I'd expect.

My fault - I shouldn't have left it so late!

April 19th is Easter weekend - may have some bearing on why the prices are what they are :#
