Not sure which company yet Chuck - still got a year before we go. I'll probably look to hire at the airport and return to a city location. Thanks for the tip[y]

Thanks for the duck tour and Salem ideas - both are pencilled into the itinerary

Yes, the duck tours are great, the drivers all seem to be retired Boston anoraks who want to do something different in their "retirement."

Unfortunately, the construction of the "Big Build" (or whatever it's called) can affect viewing.

Cheers,

The Central Artery/Tunnel Project aka 'The Big Dig', is almost over (at long last [:p] ). It is moving into the last 3% of construction and most of the roads / tunnels are open and working fine.

It was a hell of a project and a major traffic headache for years. It began in 1991 and so far has cost OVER $14.5 BILLION!!!!!

The old town trolley tour is OK for a general view of Boston you can get on and off all day, used to be a 2 day pass but I think it's now only 1 day,it can get very busy in the summer after lunch. If you do go on the tour make sure you get off at the Charleston shipyard home to old Ironsides. http://www.ussconstitution.navy.mil

and do go on the ducks[y]

Nick,
Good point, well presented:D.

Chuck,

Apologies for the unfairness of the question. Put it another way - which tour will show me the most of the city[?]
