Gatwick Car Rental questions please on nearest to Nth Term

Am flying into LGW from MCO. Am very familiar with the car rental places in LHR i.e those near the airport versus those not.
Is anyone able to give me any advice on LGW please? Am particularly interested in knowing which ones are closest to North Terminal? Are any of them on site in one of the multi stories or close by?
I don’t wish to spend loads of time waiting with two kids for an irregular minibus that then treks miles to the car rental location in Horley or further away. Thank you

All of the majors, Europcar, Enterprise, AVIS and Hertz have cars at the car rental centre on site at the Airport (South Terminal)

As I discovered two weeks back there is no more car rental collection at North terminal. You need to get shuttle to South terminal. Apparently the Nth terminal car park has problems hence the move.
Unfortuneatly South terminal car rental building near bus stop is now packed and it took 45 mins to collect car.
