If you have a Virgin non FC CC, you can earn 5000 members shop points by joining the Virgin Casino, spending £10 and playing through with £100 of bets. Check the Members shop offers for details

You are allowed to move points to a FC CC once, and as I'm just waiting for my 3000 Blockbuster points to arrive, I may delete my Casino account, and try and get another 5000 before I move them over and cancel the card.

Hopefully this will be useful for some. Note you can only have one Virgin Casino account at a time, it doesn't say you can't delete and create a new one!

Only for new members, one per address, etc etc.

You may struggle if you're already a Virgin Casino member - buy hey, you might slip though... ;)

Can't see the new members only thing, but if you delete an account and create a new one, it may be ok.

Virgin Casino actually link your accounts based on D.O.B / Address information etc. (Believe me, I had a loooong chat with them on the phone about it and it's compliance with the DPA).

If you delete your account, your record still remains. When you re-sign up, if it matches more than two items, it treats you as the same person.

They know... ;)

Ah, but you haven't got two accounts active at the same time, so hopefully it'll let me :) I'm surprised I don't have to declare this sort of thing at work anyway to make sure i'm not money laundering.

Let me get this straight........
If I sign up to the Blockbuster program I can convert the points to miles?
The casino 5000 points, you have to deposit £10 and then gamble £100, so your telling me it could cost £100 for 5000 points and them get them converted to miles?
Is it really worth it?
I do apologise if the question seem a bit strange, new to the site and just trying to build my miles up.

Do I qualify for this if I have a Virgin FC CC as I don't receive points at the moment, just the miles.

Thanks in advance
Trevor

Trev,

If you're even remotely average at playing the games, it won't cost you £100 - you just have to play through that amount in total.

It's most likely that you'd come out even, and maybe a little up on your original £10.

You need the normal Virgin card that gets you member shop points, so you can't use it with your FC one [:(!]

So how do you go about getting another Vigin CC which only rewards you with the points and not miles?
Surly this would mean having 2 CC's with the same company, would they go for this?

Cheers
Trevor

PS.....again sorry if the questions seem a bit silly

Trevor, you can have two MBNA Virgin CCs, however they may reduce your credit limit on one, to provide the second, so it all depends on your credit rating.

I had the points one, then applied for the FC version. When they phoned I said I was closing the first anyway, so they reduced my limit, and put a larger one on my FC one.

I also got the 5000 points added today, so that plus the Blockbuster points and my 1100 already means a nice 9100 miles transferred to my FC card :-)
