Partner airlines using miles to Singapore/Thailand

We currently have around 350K miles and we are accruing around 7K miles per month on the VS credit card.
We retire next year and are looking to do a long trip to Singapore and Thailand. How easy is it to use miles using Singapore airlines etc and how do you check availability and book? We are looking at business class

Business / First on Singapore with VS miles has been a no-no for as long as I can remember - there will be several old threads about it.

Unless things have changed recently, they simply don't release seats.

You could look at Air France / KLM, but it seems to me VS are definitely the poor relations when it comes to the release of availability on several 'partners' - I have booked with Korean for later in the year without any apparent problems, but even then, I can't pay for extras like extra leg room seats, as it is a partner booking.
