We are going on possibly our last trip to America next spring, using my last BA Companion voucher. We cancelled all our Amex cards earlier in the year when they changed the criteria for spending on getting the Companion voucher and spend limits.

We just could not justify this spend and annual charge.

We are going to do some national parks and have 14 days going round, have booked flights and accommodation all paid for months ago. We have heard that the fees for non residents is going to be $100 per person per day at every park plus entrance fees.

This had put us on the point of cancelling everything as its all refundable apart from the paid seat selection. We have now heard that from Jan 1st the NPS will be offering non residents a pass for $250 covering the driver and up to four passengers. This is obviously more than we had budgeted for but means we can still go.

So just a heads up to anyone planning a similar trip next year. Linda
