Finally I have been waiting for a week for this to be released.

Shall be booking my tickets this evening.

It is only one flight a day and is being done for crew training. Can't wait I bet she will shoot off like a rocket with such a light load!

Now that is a good idea y) . These flights are going to be busy, I understand there's a specific schedule and the forumosphere is agog at the prospect!

I'd be up for this y)

Lowest business class fare I can find on the A380 is £231 return if you fly on a Sunday and come back Monday :)

Very tempted here.

We are certainly thinking about a quick burst, but would probably have a few days @ Paris while we are doing it.

Without me trawling through the AF website - has anyone researched / have knowledge of, whether a business class ticket would get lounge entry - if so, any comments on their quality?

Nick, yes all Premium Affaires (business class) fares do allow lounge access.

Booked a very quick trip here to Paris (not my favorite place) in Business class departing June 27 returning June 28th. A380 both ways for £231 return y)

The reason why these flights are so hot is becuse this was leaked first on A.net by an AF staff member who I believe works out of one of the middle eastern offices and then because it was picked up by a couple of aviation related press companies.

I will be booking and having not looked at the prices, will be going for the end of August if the first months are being snapped up. Whilst these flights may prove popular lets not forget that there are some 449 Y seats per flights and 80 odd J seats (and I wouldn't be surprised if there are few op-ups to First which is not being sold).

One very clever marketing ploy by AF, something they have of course done in the past with the 777 and 747 when they entered service.

Note: Looking at Y fares, the 380 flights are still very much available and are much cheaper than flying on any of the other 320/ATR operated flights on the same day

Just a heads up for anyone who's made a booking for these flights.

If you now go in and manage your booking via the AF website, seat maps are loaded and seat selection is now available.

Once you log into your booking using the Air France website, scroll down to 'Preferences' then click 'select or modify' then just click in either box to bring up a pop-up window showing your seat maps.

I'm on a Z (business class) so don't know it's any different for economy fares.

You can also view your booking using the KLM website so you might what to try that if there's nothing on the Air France one.
