Good choice Neil, recommend a corner room with views of the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. There are some pics in the gallery.

Enjoy!

Cheers

Hi,

Sorry to join this discussion so late but have been away fro a little while!

As Strawberry Muppett points out the PAn PAcific is now a JW Marriott - however the Mandarin Oriental is a good hotel.

One website to check out is it's a local hotel room search-engine so often has special deals on hotels. You can look for rooms in specific areas so you can search Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square.

Stayed at both the Sheraton (2003) and Hyatt (June 2006) on Fishermans Wharf both great hotels, we found more to do around Fishermans Wharf at night but did take the cable car to Union Square one evening for The Cheesecake Factory [y]

The Hyatt is undergoing some room refurbs and the finished room are great.

Thanks Claire, the Hyatt at Fishermans Wharf had seemed to of missed my radar somehow, looks nice from your pics and the prices seems a wee bit cheaper than the Grand Hyatt at Union Square, still like the Madarin Oriental but this is quite a bit cheaper.

Why does one city need soo many hotel, its far too confusing[B)]
