Ha ..... Great reporting on channel 5 news! Apparently the flight was 10 minutes in and they were at 60,000 feet when disaster stuck !! 60,000 feet on a flight to Oslo!!!!

Even on the website it was hardly noticable.

I'm sure the staff at LHR were well primed and put the necessary plans into place quickly etc - and from what you say it looks like they put their plans into place quickly - but with the importance of social media these days you'd think they would have at least put a couple of posts up - even if to say 'all normal now'.


Could be a double edged sword though. Look at how their page gets hijacked by idiots these days.

I think Virgin were correct in this case.

Just to say we took the VS019 (on Friday), we boarded on time, left the gate on time and arrived in SFO on time. The screens also showed other VS flight boarding on time so the incident did not seem to be impacting them. I did meet someone in the lounge travelling on Air Canada who said their 10am flight was delayed. It appears the Heathrow plan was not to impact later flights (just my guess).
