Driving from LA-good/bad idea?

Well we're here. All intact. The van is hideous (Ford 150 thing with the handling of a crate), but the journey is easy.Barstow was like going back 30 years! Felt like we were in the twilight zone.As we drove in to Vegas, Jersey Girl was approaching and soared about 200 ft over our heads with her landing gear down. Shame I was driving (and therefore unable to whip my camera out.Right, off to have some fun!
