Virgin CC - Too Many Miles - (now gone!)

Just been on the phone to MBNA regarding another matter and happened to mention the miles problem.
Gentleman put me on hold for about 5 minutes whilst speaking to Virgin, he then transfered me to another department who could not decide who was to blame but were aware of the problem[?]

Mine has got last months and this months added together too! I wondered what I'd been spending all my money on to get 2.5k miles!

This is getting silly. MBNA seem more hassle than they are worth. This is just furthering my desire to move to an Amex platinum.

On the subject of an AMEX platinum - what are the benefits of one? are there any requirements before you get one and what are the fees? Also do you get 2 VS miles per £1?

see here for benefits. It's £300 a year and requires a minimum household income of £40K. It's normal MR so 1:1 for transfers to VS.

I don't know how it can keep happening - surely the amount of extra work needed to recover the situation each month should raise an alarm somewhere?

Right, so now my March miles have gone, but the combined miles for April are still there, so I think overall my balance is correct....

You beat me to it. Indeed that's what they have done, deleted March miles and left the combination of March and April. [:?]

Just a quick question. Has anyone got their miles this month yet?

It's just that last month I didnt spend anything except for the black card annual fee (£115) but I noticed that on my card statement it said 0 miles earned.

You always used to get miles for the membership fee unless something has changed [:?]

Yes I have got my May miles and amazingly they are correct.

I never received miles for the £115 fee when I first got my card last August/Septemeber time, so I assume it has changed now.

Yep - amazingly enough the miles seem correct this month although I got a nice bonus for paying for the tremendous UC / USA offe with my MBNA card...

Mine went in on the 1st June and are correct.[:)]

Mine in too and all correct (piddly amount as trying to save up for a big spend at the moment) I hope that this time it is for good.
It was quite fun logging in and seeing a different balance almost daily. I was considering using it to choose some lottery numbers or something.

I am still outstanding 1k miles for a Dollar car rental from LHR. When I saw him putting this in, it was again writing it by hand on a piece of paper. Not the most professional of systems!

Mine look fine..... but then they started off fine before!!!

No miles have appeared on my FC account for this month yet, despite earning a couple of thousand on last month's CC statement!

They don't always post on the 1st of the month, and they don't always post first thing on the day either.

I seem to remember them being there on the 1st of every month but being the patient chap I am, I'll hold off for a few days before phoning them up!
