I've seen that too, it is very odd!

Also anyone recall when at Newark you could get a sleep suit in the clubhouse then trudge to the gate in them ... also amusing.

Fact #5. What is not acceptable is what I viewed (or rather what I would rather not have viewed) is on a flight to JNB in Y when a middle-aged guy in the departure lounge sat with one leg resting at right angles on the other leg wearing the skimpiest cut-off shorts I have ever seen to the extent that his liathroídí* were exposed! :0 :0 :0

Ahhh the amount of times I've had to go and find extra blankets to cover both men and women who have fallen asleep on top of their duvets with everything on show!

Doesn't wind me up at all. Like I said, I find it amusing. I'm sure people look at me and think I look incredibly unfashionable.

In a slight variation - if we get a new shiny leather purple seat in a couple of weeks, will I slide off wearing my shiny tracksuit bottoms !

No truth in that actually, I have an approved flying outfit - hasn't changed in years - don't know why I do it but I find it comforatable and as such always fly in the same thing - shame is, it's probably the only time I wear my XXXXX trousers (posh brand so won't name !)and they are now just about at their limit of acceptable sizing as I have lost a bit of weight - last time I wore them for a domestic flight I nigh on lost them at security !

And for earlier posters, I am well over 25 and do possess A&F clothing - no Hollister though, in a nod to my age, every time I go in to one of their stores it's too dark to see anything !

Having been dragged around numerous poorly lit Hollister & AF stores in Florida over recent years, I've learnt to hook on my little keyring torch. Absolutely invaluable especially when I'm paying for the goods

Funnily, me and the OH were on a city break to Cardiff and visitied one of the aforementioned poorly lit Hollister stores (she is younger than me but still over the 25 year apparent age restriction !) in the St Davis shopping mall, walked in to the store as per normal and was suddenly hit with the darkness - wasn't until we departed said store, we realised our names were mud as across the walkway, there was a queue for people waiting to go in !

Whoever heard of waiting in a queue to enter a shop !

I take it then you have never seen the massive queue to get into Abercrombie on Fifth Avenue in NY. Couldn't believe it when I saw it - thought something special was going on but it was just a normal day there. Who would queue just to wander around a shop? ?|

Didn't bother me though as I do not shop there!

After a flight to DEL earlier this year my wife and I had a fellow UC passenger remain in her sleep suit all the way through the airport an into her awaiting transfer.

I met the guys from Miami Ink years ago on flight who were all sat in Upper - no one even batted an eyelid. Even though I personally would never get a tattoo, the artwork on theirs was amazing!

I was not thinking of any specific tattoo but with all the comments about what tee shirts people should or shouldn't wear then I thought there would be strong opinions about body art, myself I have a full japanese sleeve on my left arm and have been traveling UC for many years now with no problems.

I was forces into a Hollister shop in SF recently. I thought the darkness was as a result of a power cut and not intentional!!

I tried to buy something in the Hollister store in Bath, only to not be able to decide (in their VERY dim lighting) whether the shirt in question was navy blue or black. I asked an assistant, who by his gaze said 'what do you think I am, psychic?'. So I asked whether I could take it nearer the door to try and decide. In doing this, in the darkness, I tripped over the end of a (black) display stand and went flying!

I decided this was the time to give up....

You should have informed the arrogant clueless shop assistant you was reporting them to the Health& Safety Council!
You might have got the shirt 'gift wrapped' just to keep quiet.
Seriously there must be an H&S issue in those stores.

lol, this has happened to me so many times (although not in the Bath store )

The secret is Abercombie / Hollister dont do black. Even if it looks black inside or under one of their pathetic lights, it's navy blue.

They are no different inside I tell you! The "people" who work in there all look like they've all come from a photo shoot and I've never seen anyone over a size 8 v(

What I find amusing about Hollister is that on one of their recent bags, the male model has nearly had his belly button airbrushed out...
