Personally, I don't think that they'll get into a 'your credit card level must meet your FC level' type situation.

They should just produce a single level FlyingClub card (perhaps with a choice of designs) that everyone has, regardless of their FC tier.

Hi All,

Does anyone have any news on what happend to this? Is it still on and pending with the Chip & Pin rollout or has the idea been scrapped?

Thanks
Jon

I actually just mailed FlyingClub the other day to ask what was happening.

They're querying it with their marketing department and said they'd get back to me.

Will keep y'all posted! :)

I have said this before, but I think the marketing of the VS card is poor, bordering on non-existent.

Latest news from FlyingClub on this:

Dear Tim,

Thank you for your e-mail. Please accept my apologies for the delayed
response.

I have attempted to investigate your query
further regarding a credit card provided by the Flying Club.

Upon discussing this information with our marketing department, they have
advised at present, we cannot confirm if the Flying Club programme will be
establishing their own credit card to enable members to earn further miles
with the Flying Club. However any plans to do this will remain confidential
until it has been decided to become available to our members.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us with your valued feedback.

We hope to welcome you onboard in the near future.

Kind Regards,

Looks like they've put things on hold [:(]

Hi,
Just seen this topic.
What a great idea. My vote goes to Design 7. Design 3 version 2.

An even better idea is to have a V-Flyer version of this card available to members only.

Has anybody forwarded the idea of a FC or even the V-Flyer designs to Virgin?.

Tim.

Hi Tim,

I've raised this with FlyingClub several times (you can see the response I got the first time about half way down page 2 of this thread). There seemed to be a lot of drive for this last year, but attitudes seem to have changed at Virgin since then (as you can see from my latest contact with FlyingClub).

Hopefully they'll reconsider, as there's obviously a lot of support for the idea of seperate FlyingClub branding for the card.

for what it's worth, I like design 4 (im a bit old fashioned when it come to CC designs!)

I was really disappointed not to be able to get my cc changed to their black design. My original request was met with a speedy replacement of my red card - with another red one! When I called to query this, I was told that, while regular card holders can have a black card if they so choose, FC members could have only red! Yeah, pretty miffed about that... smacks of discrimination!

Anyone out there working at Virgin know why this is the case????

Yep. As it happens I started off with a red card last November. However when it had to be replaced because of fraud (not my fraud BTW) I got issued with a Black card[|:)]. It is still not VS branded although it is of course Virgin branded.

I've just got my VS Flying Club Credit card - looks just the same as my 'old' Virgin Credit Card with no sign of a specific branding. [V]

I just found my old virgin card from a few years ago with the feathers design, I think that would be a good design for the FF card!
