Just been having at look at the evil empires web site and its travel classes. Link here

interestingly, if you put your mouse on the "world traveller plus" box, it rotates and calls its self "Premier economy Class"

well, well, well.....:D

Maybe I am missing the point Jetwet, but might I hazard a guess that Alan was last on the BA web site at about half past one - ie about 10 or 15 minutes before the post above

Yep. Doing a cost comparison to New York between VS and BA, both came out the same cost a whopping £5,600 for two adults and one child in UC/Club World. Ouch!

I think you are right that it has been that way for some time. But to the best of my knowledge it has not been reported here before.

Personnally I think they are just picking up on a pretty generic term with "premier economy" to describe their product. If it said premium economy, well that would be pretty significant.

I don't think VS have any exclusive rights to "Premium Economy". I've a feeling that I've seen at least one other airline use it - ANZ have "Pacific Premium Economy".

May I refer you to the rules of the site prieffer here. Specifically "We strictly enforce a non-discrimination policy on V-Flyer, and any posts which are blantly racist, sexist, homophobic or discriminate against others in any way are likely to be deleted". As a group, Accountants and Lawyers are people too you know, and should not be descriminated against.;);)

Fair point, Alan - Dave's been known to fraternise with the enemy from time to time...[}:)]

... although I dare say if VS provided one or two more reward seats, that relationship could easily be quashed. ;)

Oh yeh, I hadn't thought of that. Good point well made, in that case I take back my accusation that you broke the rules. Btw does this make me and onionz the only accountants and lawyers in the village?

Yes I do travel on the darkside every now and again (well ok for every trans-atlantic flight for the last 3 years),however in my defense ( to keep the lawyers here happy) when VS is charging $800 more for the same class of ticket,on the same dates, you can be sure who im going to be flying on everytime (to keep the accounts happy),sorry but to me VS PE isn't worth $800 more than BA WT+.
