According to USA Today, the TSA's 'Trusted Traveller' scheme is getting closer to fruition.

It seems an excellent plan, but I would assume that it would only apply to US Nationals.. at least when it first starts up.

Good spot. I would think it would be extended to include all persons covered by the VWP a la the faded 'INSPass' program.

I thought United were working on a scheme where their 1K's or those that had been 1P's for more than 18 months could bypass any SSSS requirement?

I'm sure I read it on FT some time ago - same arguments occured (ie: why wouldn't a terrorist just become a 1K?!)
