Well to be fair, VS dont have a first class cabin, Only Business Class, Premium Ec and Economy.

I dont think that VS has to catch up with EK's first class because VS upper class suite is more of a business class product. If you were to compare VS upper with EK business then EK would have a bit of catching up to do.

That EK first class is only on their a345's so if you are on other EK aircraft in first you will not have that seat. At least with VS you know what you will get the suite. Well in the next few months you will.

As John says, EK dont have totally lie flat bed/seats in any of their business cabins. They still have the J2000 style angled seats I believe.

I also dont like the idea of been stuck in a 'box' during the entire flight. I'd rather have a nice open-plan cabin with lots of space around me. Those FC 'cabins' dont look much fun to me.
