Platinum Amex in Middle East..?

A question for all you Platinum card holders...

I am due to move to Kuwait this summer (will I be the first V-Flyer based there?)

As part of my preparations, I contacted Amex about transferring my card over there.

I found out that a Platinum card in the Middle East is by invitation only - as per Centurion here.

Has anyone noticed any extra benefits when using a UK Plat card in the Middle East?

Won't be the first - GraemeK is over there now.

Neve been to that part of the world, but AMEx should be able to assist you with a transfer over to Platinum in Kuwait.
